A pistol-caliber semi-automatic carbine, the Beretta Cx4 Storm targets the law enforcement, personal defense, and sporting markets. It comes in two variants, one of which accepts 92/96 magazines and the other of which accepts Px4 series magazines, both of which are available in the calibers of 9mm Parabellum,.40 S&W,.45 ACP, and 9mm. The Beretta Mx4 Storm, which can fire fully automatically, is the Cx4 Storm's military version. It has a 12-inch barrel and a 30-round magazine most frequently. Both the Mx4 Storm and the Cx4 Storm have a Picatinny rail on top of the receiver for mounting modern optics as well as a tri-rail adaptor for mounting grips, flashlights, laser sights, and other accessories. Other ambidextrous characteristics of the gun include the ability to move the firing selector, charging handle, ejection port, and magazine release to the left.
