March 7th Eidolons
Let’s take a look atMarch 7th best builds in Honkai Star Rail. March 7th is the first character you get for free in Honkai Star Rail, and she is a shielding Preservation unit, making her an effective tank. Despite her free status, March 7th will get you through most of the tougher content in Honkai Star Rail.
March 7th is an Ice Preservation tank-based character who can shield your team and direct enemy attention. To this end, the best build for March 7th is to emphasise her defensive capabilities and build her as a Tank. March 7th mostly needs HP and Defence to get the most out of her kit.
Honkai Star Rail 1.3 releasehas introduced a slew of new functions and changes to the game. As ever with updates like this, thethe new character bannersare the most important additions to Star Rail. Without further delay, let’s look at the best builds for March 7th in Honkai Star Rail.
March 7th best Light Cones
March 7th is a Preservation character, meaning she is best suited to defend your party and direct enemy attention towards specific characters. The best Light Cone for March 7th is Moment of Victory. This is a five-star Light Cone which is technically the signature Light Cone for Gepard. Most of the signature Light Cones in the Standard Warp Banner are incredibly good for any in that specific Path.
With that in mind, March 7th has plenty of free-to-play and four-star Light Cone options, so don’t worry if you don’t have the five-star one. Since March 7th is a character who scales off her Defense stat, choosing a Light Cone that increases Defense is always the best. Check out this table below for Marth 7th’s best Light Cones.
Light Cone | Rarity | Effect |
---|---|---|
Moment of Victory | 5-Star | March 7th will get increased Defence from this Light Cone, and a bonus to her Effect Hit Rate. The latter stat might not seem important, but it works well for March since she has a chance to Freeze enemies. Furthermore, when March is hit, her defence will increase by another 24%. |
This is Me | 4-Star | Increases the wearer’s DEF by16%. Increases the DMG of the wearer when they use their Ultimate by60%of the wearer’s DEF. This effect only applies 1 time per enemy target. |
Day One of my New Life | 4-Star | Increases the wearer’s DEF by16%. After entering battle, increases DMG RES of all allies by8%. Effects of the same type cannot stack. |
Landau’s Choice | 4-Star | The wearer is more likely to be attacked, but DMG taken is reduced by16%. |
✓ Jack’s opinion
March 7th’s best Light Cone
Since many of us don’t have the five-star Light Cone, March 7th should use This is Me as the next best Light Cone. It increases March’s Defence and scales her Ultimate off her Defense stat, which is perfect for March 7th.
March 7th best Relics and Planar Ornament
March 7th needs to be your frontline tank, and to get the most out of that, March 7th should be built defensively. The shield she provides scales on her Defense stat, which means you simply need to pump her full of Defense to get the most out of March 7th’s shields. To that end, you should only really consider using one Relic set and one Planar Ornament set to focus on March 7th in a shield build.
Type | Set | Set Bonus | Reason |
---|---|---|---|
Relic | Knight of Purity Palace | Two-piece bonus: Increases DEF by 15%. Four-piece bonus: Increases the max DMG that can be absorbed by the Shield created by the wearer by 20%. | Knight of Purity Palace is the best Relic for March 7th. It provides a Defense boost and will further enhance her shields with the four-piece set. |
Planar Ornament | Belobog of the Architects | Increases the wearer’s DEF by 15%. When the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate is 50% or higher, the wearer gains an extra 15% DEF. | Belobog of the Architects is the best Planar Ornament for March 7th. Again, it synergises with her Relic set to give more Defense and this will make March’s shields stronger. If you want to unlock the second effect of this, you will need to get Effect Hit Rate so March gets more Defense from this set. |
To break it down in simple terms, March doesn’t have any other role than being a tank. Due to this, her Relics and Planar Ornaments are limited to defence-orientated sets. It is important to note that Belobog of the Architects will only provide an extra Defense boost if March 7th has Effect Hit Rate of 50% or more. Because of this, you want to have that as one of your main stats on a Relic or look for it in the substats. Building March with Effect Hit Rate will increase her chance of freezing enemies with her Ultimate.
When it comes to main and substats, you want to focus on Defense, Effect Hit Rate, and HP. Since Defense likes to drop on almost every single Relic, you shouldn’t have any problems getting them for March 7th.
Piece | Main Stat |
---|---|
Chest | Defence / Effect Hit Rate |
Boots | Speed / HP |
Sphere | Defence% |
Link Rope | Energy Regen / HP |
March 7th Traces priority
March’s talents should be levelled to ensure her Shields can take as much punishment as possible. When it comes to the main priority, you should level her Traces in this order: Skill, Ultimate, Talent, and then Basic Attack. March 7th’s Basic Attack shouldn’t be levelled unless you really want to do it. Her Skill is the most important since it gives your chosen ally a strong shield.
Trace | Effect |
---|---|
Basic Attack | Deals Ice DMG equal to 50% of March 7ths ATK to a single enemy. |
Skill | Gives a single ally a shield that can absorb up to 45% of March 7th’s DEF plus 475 for three turns. If the chosen ally has more than 30% of their HP, the shield greatly increases the chance that the character will be targeted. |
Ultimate | Deals AoE Ice DMG to all enemies. Has a 50% base chance of freezing. |
Talent | When a shielded ally is hit by an enemy, March 7th will counter the attack. This can be triggered twice per turn. |
Technique | Attacks the enemies. Has a 100% base chance to freeze foes when starting the fight. |
Bonus Ability | Skill removes one debuff from an ally. |
Bonus Ability | Shield duration increases to four turns. |
Bonus Ability | Increases March 7th’s Ultimate base chance to freeze by 15%. |
March 7th Eidolons
Before we get into it, we want to provide a warning that Eidolons in Honkai Star Rail are never worth spending money on since it costs an absurd amount of real money to have enough Stellar Jade to do so. However, if you are interested in March 7th’s Eidolons, then knowing which ones to aim for is beneficial.
- Memory of You – March 7th regenerates 7 energy when her Ultimate freezes an enemy.
- Memory of It – The party member with lowest HP gets a Shield when entering battle.
- Memory of Everything – Ultimate LV. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Basic Attack LV. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.
- Never Forfeit Again – March 7th gets another charge of her Girl Power Talent, letting her counter three times.
- Never Forget Again – Skill LV. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Talent LV. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
- Just Like This, Always – Allies with a Shield from March 7th restore HP each turn.
Generally speaking, March 7th’s Eidolons aren’t anything too special. We would say her best one is E4, giving her free damage and another use of her Talent.
