Currently, all undergraduate students will normally be permitted four Q-drops during their undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University, regardless of transfer status. You will either have to fill out a Q-drop form manually and send it to your advisor or through the Howdy Portal.

Students may submit Q-drop request online in Howdy from the “My Dashboard” tab under the “My Requests” dropdown. The requests will be routed to the academic advisors for review and processing. Q's are recorded on the student's transcript; however, it does not affect the computation of the student's GPR.

Credit for a course failed may be obtained only by registering for and repeating the course. The original grade will remain on the student's permanent record, and both grades will be used in computing the GPA.
